What's the problem

Methods with authorizationType NONE and no API key required (OPTIONS excluded) can be called by anyone on the internet. One finding per API; if the API has a resource policy, confirm it limits the callers

How 6WAF detects it

  • Deterministic checks through AWS API calls (IAM, S3, EC2/VPC, CloudTrail, KMS, Secrets Manager, ACM, detection services) — no LLM is used for detection; severity is the value the scanner assigns, shown above.
